Coreopsis x. 'Tequila Sunrise'

The flower on Tequila Sunrise are nice enough to grow on their own merits but it's the foliage that makes this tickseed really stand out. The flower is a lemon yellow with red center and bloom all summer with a heavy stand of flowers early summer and a lighter, continuous bloom until the end of summer. The foliage is edged in white that reminds one of the shrub Daphne 'Carol Macke". Some variegated foliaged plants seem to be weak, this is not one of them. I will say that some of the plants seem to "bloom themselves to death" but this plant does reseed so you seem to have a new plant in its place each year. A must have coreopsis
